The energy was electric in Weyburn. We took GreenStrength oil absorbents to the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show and set up at booth 247, ready to talk shop with the people who run the sites.
What we came to talk about
Primarily, how our high-performance oil absorbents help optimize site operations — engineered to keep projects efficient, safe and environmentally compliant. Pads, socks, booms, rolls and spill kits, all made from media we extrude ourselves in Newmarket.
Three conversations came up again and again: product performance people wanted to check firsthand, supply-chain resilience, and strategy for scaling revenue in a sector where a delayed shipment is an expensive problem.
Why it matters that we make the media
An oil absorbent is only as good as the fibre inside it. Ours is oil-only polypropylene, made on our own line, and independently lab validated at up to 22× its weight in oil. Because the extrusion line, the converting and the packaging are all under one roof, the format, count and packaging can be built to a site’s programme instead of a catalogue’s.
That is also the answer to the supply-chain question: domestic manufacture, restocked in days rather than shipping windows.
Thanks, Weyburn
Good conversations, good floor, and a clear picture of what site operators need next. If we missed you at the booth, the whole GreenStrength line is below.
