High loft thermal & acoustic media

One layered material, two jobs: trapped air for insulation, viscous friction for quiet. R-value and NRC are tuned together, to your panel, for builders across North America.

Inside the media

Layer by layer

Layered loft — R-value and NRC tuned together. Watch the construction assemble — then tap a layer to see what it does.

Thermal — layered construction

  • Loft faces ×2 — durability; protect the core and stand up to handling and installation
    • Resilience for cutting, handling and installation on site
    • Protects the working core through the assembly's service life
    • Fire performance manufactured to stated standards
  • Fine fibre core — the worker: insulation and sound absorption happen here
    • R-value and NRC tuned together — one media, both numbers
    • Thickness and density set to your panel or assembly
    • 100% polypropylene — moisture-tolerant, no fibreglass handling issues

Acoustic — one thick lofted layer

  • Thick lofted layer — one deep fluffy web; the depth itself absorbs the sound energy
    • Sound absorption coefficient customised to the panel
    • One material, one layer — simple to cut, fit and specify
    • Thickness set to the cavity; rolls cut to your format

Layered constructions are laminated ultrasonically — no adhesive — and we build custom laminations to your needs: faces, cores and thicknesses to your assembly. How ultrasonic welding works · Start a custom lamination

Polypropylene · High loft

What it is

Layered polypropylene loft for noise reduction and thermal insulation across automotive interiors, residential, commercial and industrial settings. Coarse loft faces give the material body, resilience and R-value; a fine fibre core absorbs sound energy. Because both properties hang off the same fibre structure, we tune them together to the numbers your assembly needs.

Fire performance is built to stated standards, and rolls are cut to your format.
